Gay marriage in California

Same sex marriage was just made legal in California yesterday. This is only the 2nd state that has legalized this so far in U.S. history. Post what u feel or ure opinion on this law and on same sex marriage in general =]

All states should legalize it. It's very stupid for it not to be legal. Saying it's tradition to have man/woman marriages is bullcrap. It was tradition to pay taxes to King George. It was tradition for rich white folk to own black slaves. It was tradition that only men could vote or have a career. Just because something is tradition doesn't make it right. The only other reason most anti-gay marriage supporters use is that it's goes against the bible. Last time I checked, there was this little thing called separation of church and state. Ya know, that little thing that says that America is not a theocracy, it's a Democracy (well technically a Democratic Republic but still), and that the church has no bearing on government affairs. Using the fact that it goes against the Bible as justification to banning gay marriage not only violates the separation of church and state but it also violates the freedom of religion, one of the founding principles of this country. Honestly, there is no just reason to not have gay marriage. Oh, well gay marriage is unmoral and unnatural. How so? How does two men or two women getting married affect anyone at all besides the ones spending the rest of their lives together? Unnatural? Yeah, that's why you have to go through a guys butt to get to the prostate. The only reason people are against gay marriage is because they are close minded and can't accept that the world is not run by religious fear, that people have the right to live their lives the way that they want to. Hmmm, I went on a little rant, my bad.
