And really, I don't think we can even say same sex love is untypical. It goes back as far as as civilization, really. The greeks, romans, ancient japanese, hell most civilizations before the rise of Christianity, they all did it. In some cultures it was considered the purest form of love. It didn't really become taboo until the Dark Ages when the church controlled Europe. After that, everyone is like omg if you do that you are going to hell and stuff. It's really dumb, the world would be such a better place if it wasn't for Christianity, or more specifically Catholicism and the atrocities that have been committed in it's name.
